Horse riding is a unique experience for children and adults alike. When you follow a trail on horseback, you go back in time to the great adventure novels of Washington Irving, James Fenimore Cooper, and Mayne Reid. This is a fantastic opportunity to get closer to Nature and to do some physical exercise!

At Turkey Creek Stables, we have specialized in horsemanship recreational activities since 1988. Our guests can train in a large arena or take both guided and unguided rides at the beautiful Medard Park. This is a 2,700-acre nature reserve where people and horses enjoy the fresh air and wonderful surroundings. As you trail open valleys and wooded areas, you revel in the Florida wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and heady scents of plants and flowers.

Our visitors, young or old, will benefit from a wide range of activities:

• boarding;
• leasing;
• equine sales;
• tack shop;
• parties;
• summer camp;
• and much more!

We care for the environment and strive to ensure that animals and people feel safe and secure. Any rides may be canceled due to bad weather. If inexperienced or intermediate riders wish to follow a trail, we encourage them to hire a volunteer guide. Please be aware that they work for tips only, so if you enjoyed your ride, be generous.

We provide horse rentals for beginners and experienced riders daily from 8am till 6pm. Horses may be rented for up to 4 hours, and the prices are certainly affordable:

• 1h* – $20/person
• 2h – $35/person
• 3h – $50/person
• 4h – $55/person

*The last one-hour trail ride departs at 5pm and returns at 6pm.
